A list of rules you must abide by
1. Respect and obey staff members and X-Men
This means that, while in character you are expected to do what a a teacher or X-(Wo)Man tells you to do.
2. Death Policy
In this Roleplay, death is like real life, making it permanent. In order to actually kill someone else you must first:
- Have their permission
- Have a reasonable excuse as to why you're killing this person.
Note: To kill a canon-character you must first have EmoBedsheets' consent
3. Control-play
In most roleplays, certain individuals roleplay what happens to another person. This is not allowed Here is an example of what I am trying to say:
Jessie_23: *Jessie_23 shoots her gun at Justin_22*
Jessie_23: *The bullet hits him*
You are only allowed to roleplay for your own character, and not anyone elses.
Therefore, you should give time for your oponent to respond like so:
Jessie_23*Jessie_23 shoots her gun trying to hit Justin_22*
Justin_22*Leaps to the side the bullet hitting his arm*
4. Meta-Gaming
My guess is most of you don't know what Meta-Gaming is, nor do you know that you're doing it.
Definitions taken from google.ca:
Meta gaming..
- The act of using knowledge of a game to influence your actions within the game in a generally unsporting manner.
- is a form of blending that occurs when a player utilizes information obtained Out of Character in an In Character situation.
Here is an example:
Jessie_23: Hey Justin! How are you?
Justin_22: How do you know who I am?
Jessie_23: I read your motto..
5. Out of Character discussion
It is much prefered that when you need to talk about something out of character you go to the entrance room "Xavier's Institute for the Gifted" and discuss it there.
Otherwise, please identify out of character chat by using closed brackets like so: []
For example:
Jessie_23: [Hey Justin_22]
Justin_22: [Hi Jessie_23!]
This avoids confusion between out of character and in character chat.
